Port of Zeebrugge: final major phase
Major works at the port of Zeebrugge are nearing completion. Only finishing works are scheduled for September.
Construction of 3rd and 4th tracks between Bellem and Oostkamp
Two additional tracks are being laid on Belgium’s busiest railway line (L50), between Ghent and Bruges.SNCB is already integrating the new tracks into the June timetable, which will lead to smoother and more punctual train connections.

From March to the end of July 2023, Taveirne renewed the tramline tracks between the Schaarbeek depot and central Brussels.

Switches were placed at the Gent Sint-Pieters yard last month in anticipation of the construction of platform tracks 6 and 7.

Track and switches renewal – Brussels South
At Brussels South Station, Taveirne was in charge of renewing the switches and tracks.
Renewal of track and switches – Forest
Taveirne renewed the tracks and switches along the Forest line on behalf of Infrabel.
Construction of tram tracks Avenue Rogier – Schaerbeek
Taveirne was in charge of laying new tram tracks in Schaarbeek, with exchange beams on concrete support. All together on a vibration-free slab.
Tramway construction on Theunis Bridge – Antwerp
In collaboration with Stadsbader and Artes, Taveirne installed the tram tracks on the New Theunis Bridge, near the Sportpaleis in Antwerp
Groundworks & placement concrete change Ghent-Sint-Pieters
Taveirne carried out groundworks at Ghent-Sint-Pieters station during the night in early November. A concrete switch of about 70m was also installed.
Renewal of Zeebrugge tram tracks
Taveirne is currently working on the first phase of the complete renewal of the tram tracks in Zeebrugge.
New tunnel under railway line – Herentals
In cooperation with De Vlaamse Waterweg nv and Infrabel, a new tunnel was pushed under the railway line at De Beukelaer-Pareinlaan in Herentals during the weekend of 9 and 10 July.
Track and level crossing renewal – Melle
Commissioned by Infrabel, Taveirne renewed the tracks and level crossings along the route of Melle.
Avenue General Jacques in Brussels
Installation of new tram tracks in General Jacques Avenue, between the corners of Sterreplein and Boondaalsesteenweg, incl. the beginning of Buyllaan and Renbaanlaan.
Infrabel Framework Agreement Area NW Ghent
Complementary works at renewing sleepers with track renewal train P93 and sifting ballast with
